Historic company based in the province of Piacenza, Laminati Cavanna is the contracting partner of important national and international paper converting companies.
Leader in the coupling, lamination, lacquering and cutting of reels in the flexible packaging sector, faithful to its nature as a dynamic company with extensive expertise in materials and adhesives, Laminati Cavanna stands out for concrete actions and projects aimed at creating shared value, starting from respect for people, the environment and for the local community, all documented in its Ethical Code.
In this regard, it plans to draw up its first Sustainability Report in 2024 and to obtain ISO 14001 certification in 2025. Since 1969 it has, therefore been operating in the coupling and lamination of plastic material for flexible packaging - with solvent, solventless and water-based technology - intended for the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, technical, electrical and industrial sectors.
Thanks to constant commitment and the research for ever-more innovative solutions, it follows a market in continuous evolution: the experimentation of new materials and adhesives, constant investment in technology (not only with the installation of latest-generation machines, but also with the commissioning of the new plant for the recovery of activated carbon solvents, officially opened in October 2023) and the reputation earned in the field, allows Laminati Cavanna to carry out all the processing requested by customers to the highest standards, as certified by the ISO 9000:2015 quality certificate and by the BRC certification (grade AA+), specified for contractors.
Working in close contact with the R&D departments of many Italian enterprises, finally, the company is structured to carry out tests and experimentations on new packaging solutions, both in the lamination of film and in lacquering and coating. It is also available to carry out sampling, industrial tests and product approvals and to act as a back-up for companies operating in the sector.

Technology, the fleet of machines and services for converters
Laminati Cavanna’s production site extends for 15,500 sq.m., around 8,000 of which are covered.
It uses solvent-based technology for to create double, triple in line or quadruple laminates, with or without aluminium with corona treatment on all stations in progress. The adhesive is applied with rotogravure or flexographic technology with the possibility of single-color printing, lacquering and coating. The solventless technology makes it possible to create double or triple laminates with corona treatment on all stations in progress.
It has, in addition:
- different mixers, enabling the use of also single-component adhesives for paper;
- two cutters (from 50 mm to 1500 mm; diameter: 1000 input and output) with single and double-sided FUTEC inspection machines to detect defects and impurities;
- electronically controlled grinding for sleeves and rollers covered in rubber and/or technopolymers;
- Quality Control laboratory (gas chromatographic analyses, mechanical resistance analyses, IR analysis with FT-IR Bruker spectrometer which guarantees the homogeneity of the raw materials used and the completion of the maturation phase at the time of release of the material).
It should also be pointed out that the company has completed an important process of adapting its structures, production areas and storage warehouses with the aim of ensuring that processing takes place in compliance with the mandatory food safety standards required by the market.
Thanks to constant training, the company has incorporated the ISO 9001:2015 Quality system in the main and secondary activities, establishing with Operating procedures the day-to-day work of employees, with attention focused on hygiene, food safety and production site aspects (BRC SITE CODE 1796296).
